A birth doula is a trained, non-medical professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, labor, and birth. My role is to help you feel informed, grounded, and supported as you navigate your birth experience.
Support may include comfort measures during labor, guidance through breathing and positioning, reassurance, advocacy support, and helping you and your partner feel confident in your choices, no matter what your birth looks like.
-
I support a wide range of birth experiences, including hospital births, birth center births, and home births in Los Angeles. I work with families planning medicated or unmedicated births, VBACs, and cesarean births. My approach is non-judgmental and client-led. I meet you where you are and support the birth you choose.
-
Many families choose to hire a doula in the second trimester, but support can be beneficial at any point in pregnancy. Reaching out earlier allows more time to build a relationship and prepare together, but I welcome inquiries at any stage.
-
Yes, I include several prenatal and postnatal massage therapy sessions as part of the birth doula package. Additional sessions can be purchased to further enhance your experience.

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that works with the nervous system and connective tissue to support deep relaxation, pain relief, and healing.
This is what a craniosacral looks like with Emily:
Whole-body assessment of the central nervous system and fascia
Techniques for working with both acute and long-standing conditions
SomatoEmotional Release, which supports gentle processing of stress and stored trauma through the body
This work is especially helpful for headaches, chronic pain, stress, anxiety, nervous system dysregulation, and recovery from injury or emotional overwhelm.
